4 holiday destinations in Spain for this year

Spain offers visitors a wide variety of holiday destinations, from the beautiful beaches of the Costa del Sol to historic cities such as Madrid and Barcelona. It is not surprising that this country has become one of the most visited places in Europe. In this article, we'll take a look at some of the most popular holiday spots in Spain, as well as some hidden gems you may not have heard of yet.

Valencia

If you are looking for a holiday destination that is close to home, but gives you the feeling of having traveled far, Valencia is the right place.

Valencia

With a history dating back more than 2,000 years and an impressive array of museums and monuments, Valencia has plenty of attractions to explore. The city is also known as one of the gastronomic capitals of Spain; Visitors can taste paella or other local dishes in several restaurants in the city.

Valencia hosts numerous festivals and events throughout the year, including the Fallas, a massive celebration in which sculptures made entirely of paper mache for about two weeks in March or April.

Madrid

Madrid is the capital of Spain and home to more than 3 million people. It is a great city for culture and history, with museums, galleries and churches galore.

Madrid Retiro

Retiro Park is one of the green spaces in Madrid that you will want to explore: in this park there are many bars where you can drink something or snack on something, like calamari sandwiches!

Ibiza

Ibiza is a Spanish island that is part of the Balearic archipelago, in the Mediterranean Sea. It is known for its nightclubs, bars and beaches, not to mention its romantic sunsets. Ibiza has been on the list of holiday destinations for decades due to its popularity among celebrities and members of the jet set.

Ibiza

Ibiza is more than just a small island; It's an entire culture that revolves around sunset beach parties and partying until dawn at clubs like Amnesia or Privilege (or any other club you can think of). However, if clubbing isn't your thing, there are other things to do: hiking trails that offer views from above; boat tours that take visitors past famous sites, such as Es Vedra (a pyramid-shaped rock formation); and many historical places worth exploring, such as Dalt Vila or the Cuevas Romanas de la Xinairola (Roman ruins).

San Sebastián

San Sebastián is a great city to visit in summer. From its beautiful beaches to its lively nightlife, there is much to do in this beautiful Spanish city. If you are looking for an affordable weekend getaway, San Sebastián could be your destination.

San Sebastian

The best way to get around San Sebastián is on foot or by public transport (very comfortable). Visit places like Playa de la Concha and Playa de San Juan for some fun in the sun before heading into the city, where you can shop in the boutiques or take photos of the beautiful architecture. A visit to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is also recommended if you want some culture during your visit. You can end the day with dinner on the beach and then head back into town for a drink at one of the many nearby bars or clubs until sunrise again.
