This year there will again be a total of 14 non-recoverable, paid and mandatory holidays in Spain. Of all of them, 12 festivities are national and regional and, specifically, eight of them are mandatory and cannot be replaced by the autonomous communities, unless they fall on a Sunday; while the remaining four can be enjoyed or replaced by each community if they wish. In addition, to these 12 festivities we must add two other holidays that are chosen by each city council and which add up to the 14 holidays that there are in Spain annually.
