Why does White Week only exist in Malaga?

In the province of Malaga there is White Week, which is a non-school week that usually runs between the end of February and the beginning of March. But why does this week only occur in the province of Malaga and not in others in the rest of Spain or Andalusia?

The answer lies in the fact that, in Malaga, the province's festivals fall during the no school; This is the case of the Malaga Fair, which is held in August. On the other hand, in Seville the April Fair is celebrated and this festival is celebrated in the same month of April, so students there have that vacation time. This is just one example among many other provinces in which the same case happens.

For this reason, White Week was established so that there would be no vacation difference between the students of Malaga and the rest of the provinces.

However, having established this week of vacation has also led to problems. This is because, during this time, only students (except university students) have vacations, but their parents do work. It doesn't happen like other types of parties, which coincide with the fact that you don't have to go to class or go to work. Therefore, many parents have to deal with the problem of what to do with their children during White Week.
